The Galaxy by steve-o-mac The Galaxy by steve-o-mac

-----------------------------------------------------------------

This was a old project that I stopped cause I didn't like it, after trashing everything but the planets I restarted it and came up with this,

I tryed to make a lens flare in the top corner, I think it turned out good, I know people are going to bitch about it saying it looks out of place but I don't care, I like it.

Enjoy =) (Smile)

Very cool. I like it. And the lens flare isn't that noticeable. Actually, I like the effect you did with it. Most people can't see it. :) (Smile) Excellent work!

Nice work, defintly like all of it, only thing that bugs me is the planet surface, otherwise a great piece :) (Smile)

I am going to sound like a broken record here but I have to agree with others, the background is awesome, but the planet could definitely use some work

Beautiful job on the starfield old chap, the foreground planet could be a little sharper, but those craters look grrreat.

B+ :) (Smile)

Very nice planet work here. hmm zany says to likk ht eplanet but i think you should jsut maybe add more textyres or a cloud layer to the planet and maybe reduce the stars..

i think the planet looks incredibly out of place. You have an incredibly colorful backgroud. And a boring planet foreground. Kill the planet, and think of something that matches the picture.

else; good.

I don't agree, I think the planet looks like a planet. Mercury looks something like that. The star with the slight lense flare to it doesn't seem out of place, it fits in just right. The only thing that seems outta place is the color of the planet. I guess with a BG that bright I expect it to have some mild lighting effects on the planet. Amazing work.

very nice, like the star field and the color scheme

but I think the big planet needs more texture.. :D (Big Grin)

There's a lens flare in this? I don't see it. I like the clustering you did of the stars and the way the gases ebb and flow.
